The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, Arizona Thursday, September 19, 2013 Mary (Clark) Sterrett Harlan Mary Harlan passed away July 4, 2013 in Glendale, Arizona. Mary was born on December 2, 1948 in Cottonwood, AZ and was the daughter of Morris and Helen Clark. Mary was enjoying semi-retired life after living several years on the beach in Bajia de Kino, Mexico. She spent summers working at Yellowstone National Park where she enjoyed the great outdoors and wildlife and collected many friends. Mary is survived by her sister, Kathy Wright of Cottonwood, her two children Shawna Pitts and Robert Sterrett, her 4 grand children Chase and Riley Sterrett and Ciera and Connor Pitts and nephews and nieces and numerous extended family members and the many friends she collected on her journey through life. A memorial service for Mary will be held on September 27 at 1pm at Vineyard Christian Fellowship Hall on Zalesky Road. Information provided by survivors.
