Hilda Hanson died Sept. 11, 2013, in Snowflake. She was born in January 1920 to Lilian and William Gregory in Leeds, England.
Hilda grew up in Yorkshire, England. She was trained as a registered nurse in Harrogate, England. She was a nurse in the RAF during World War II. In 1950, she married Thomas Edward Hanson, to whom she was married for nearly 63 years. After the war, she had a career as a head nurse until 1967, when she and her family immigrated to the USA.
After moving to the United States, she devoted herself to serving her family and church. Hilda was a wonderful mother to her son Geoff Hanson and daughter Rosemary Aitchison. Hilda will be greatly missed by her children, son-in-law Chris Aitchison, grandchildren Melody Steed and Simon Aitchison and the many others whom had the good fortune to have her in their lives.
