Charles LeRoy Kevan
(April 4, 1934 - September 22, 2013)
Charles LeRoy Kevan, 79, passed away on September 22, 2013 at his home in Pinetop surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 4, 1934 in Longmont, Colorado.
After graduating from Longmont High School, Charles enlisted in the Army, where he served with the 82nd Airborne Division from Ft. Bragg from 1954 -1956. After receiving an honorable discharge he received an AA from Maricopa Community College.
He then received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from St. Mary’s in California. Some of his achievements in life include receiving Eagle status with the Boy Scouts, in 1992 he was named in Who’s Who, and coaching baseball and football for youth leagues. Charles worked at Garrett in Phoenix and was a member of the Elk’s. He will truly be missed by all who loved him.
Charles was preceded in Death by; Father – Harold L. Kevan, Mother – Genevieve T. (Meader) Kevan, and 2 Brothers – Leon H and Ralph L Kevan.
He is survived by; Wife – Donna, Daughters – Donna K. (Kelly) and Melody A., 4 Grandchildren and 1 Great- Granddaughter.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 11 AM at the Sheppard of the Mountain Lutheran Church in Pinetop.
Interment will occur on Friday, October 4th at 1:30 PM at Mountain View Cemetery in Longmont, Colorado.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in the memory of Charles to Sheppard of the Mountain Lutheran Church, Hospice Compassus or to Cancer Research.
