Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Thursday, September 19, 2013 - Midge Guest March 9, 1932 — Sept. 16, 2013 Midge Guest passed away Sept. 16, 2013 in Lake Havasu City at the age of 81. She was born March 9, 1932 in Lake Side, Ohio to Leroy L. Belt Sr. and Frances D. Belt. Midge dedicated her life to helping others; following in the footsteps of her mother and grandmother she became a third generation registered nurse. After many years of nursing she joined the Hospital Auxiliary, acted as Chairman of the Scholarship Committee, and trained E.R. volunteers throughout her retirement. In her spare time she loved to oil paint. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Midge is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Jack W. Guest; son, Philip J. Guest and his wife Terry; daughters, Susan K. Barron and her husband Larry, and Donna M. Guest; sister, Mary Means; sister-in-law, Marijane Guthrie; five grandchildren, Tanya Kramer, Carolyn Guest, Rory Guest, L.J. Barron and Todd Barron and two great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home Sept. 20 at 2:00 p.m. with Chaplain Jimmy Ortega offering words of comfort. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Midge’s name to Hospice of Havasu, PO Box 597 Lake Havasu City, AZ 86405.
