FREULER, Thomas E.


The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, Arizona Saturday, March 17, 2007 Thomas E. Freuler, 80, of Cornville, Ariz., died Sunday, March 11, 2007. He was born April 25, 1926, in Somerville, N.J., to Thomas and May (Wall) Freuler. Thomas grew up in Bound Brook, N.J., where he attended St. Joseph's Elementary School, and graduated from Bound Brook High School. He later went on to attend Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Fla., and Rutgers University in New Brunswick, N.J. Thomas served his country during World War II in the U.S. Navy, and received the Asuatic/Pacific Campaign Medal, the WWII Medal, and the American Campaign Medal. Thomas worked in the insurance, investment, and securities industries. He was also a councilman, as well as, a part of the Civil Air Patrol, which he thoroughly enjoyed and even considered one of his hobbies. Thomas leaves behind his wife of 19 years, Evelyn Freuler of Cornville; two daughters, Linda Maddaluna (Michael) of Raritan, N.J., and Susan Mennell of Houston, Texas; his brother, Jim Freuler (Barbara) of Hunterdon, N.J.; his sister, Loretta Lindstrom, of Hillsboro, N.J.; seven grandchildren, and one great-grandson. A Memorial Service in his honor was March 15 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Sedona, Arizona, where he was proud to be a member. An online guestbook is available at www.westcottfuneralhome.com.
