Remains Of Mrs. Louise Jackson Are Laid At Rest - All that is mortal of one of the noblest and purest of the woman pioneers of this territory was laid to rest yesterday afternoon at 3 o’clock when the remains of Mrs. Louise Jackson were interred in the Citizens’ cemetery.
Mrs. Louise Jackson was born in Indiana in 1838. Her maiden name was Lynch. In 1852 the Lynch and Jackson families were among a party of twenty-five families that crossed the plains together, leaving Rushville in the month of January and arriving in California in the following September.
Besides her husband, who is now about 75 years of age, all of her children, numbering thirteen, eight sons and five daughters, survive her.
