Boulder Daily Camera (Boulder CO) Tuesday, February 12, 2013 Audrey Baty Varra went to join our Lord on February 10, 2013. She was 92 years old. Audrey was born in Sesser, Illinois. Her parents moved the family to Colorado when she was a young girl so that her father could work in the coal mines. They lived at the Monarch mining camp for a few years then moved to Louisville. She met Frank Varra while living in the mining camp, his family had a farm nearby. They married in 1937 when she was 16. He was the love of her life. She loved to travel and especially loved to go to Blackhawk with her granddaughter to play the slots. Frank and Audrey spent many winters in Wickenburg, AZ where they had a home and many great friends. Audrey leaves behind her daughter Dolores Mastriona (Bud Tharp), daughter Judy Bashline, daughter-in-law Susan, sister Betty Gypin (Jess), twelve grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, eleven great great grandchildren, and many nieces and newphews. She was preceded in death by her husband, son Gary, her parents, one brother and a sister. A rosary will be said at 9:30am on Friday, February 15, 2013, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am, at the St Louis Catholic Church, 902 Grant Ave., Louisville, with Father G Timothy Gaines serving as the celebrant. Interment will be in the Louisville Cemetery, with a reception following at Benedict Hall at St Louis.
