Frances Marlene Dunlap, 77, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2013 in Flagstaff, AZ.
She was born January 3, 1936 in Williamsville, IL to George and Narvilla (Martin) Harris.
Marlene graduated from Feitshans High School in Springfield, Il. She married William Dunlap in Springfield, IL on September 20, 1959. The couple eventually moved to Arizona and started a family. In 1973, the family moved to Flagstaff.
She served as a Cub Scout and Girl Scout leader, and volunteered for many organizations, including the Red Cross. Marlene was a founding member of the Timberline-Fernwood Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary. She also served as a volunteer dispatcher and bookkeeper for the fire department.
Marlene loved spending time with friends and family, and enjoyed crocheting.
She is survived by her husband, Bill, her children Bill Jr. and Joy, and her sister JoAnn Rhoades.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 5 at 10:30 AM at the East Valley Baptist Church, 10655 N. Hwy 89, Flagstaff, AZ. A reception will follow at Summit Fire Department Station 33, 6050 Firehouse Ln, Flagstaff, AZ.
