Suzanne Mae Doan went peacefully to be with her Lord on Friday, Sept. 13, 2013. Suzanne was born to Maxfield and Marian North, an Arizona Pioneering Family, on Oct. 14, 1936 in Phoenix, Ariz.
Suzanne graduated from West High in Phoenix and got her Registered Nursing Degree from Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix. She nursed for more than 30 years in various Phoenix hospitals, doing private duty nursing and retiring from Del Webb Hospital in Sun City.
Suzanne moved to Globe in 2006 with her daughter’s family. She enjoyed meeting new friends in Globe. She is survived by her sister, Paula Sepolpo (Anthony) of Williams, Ore.; daughter, Rebecca (Carl) Williams of Globe, Ariz.; and son, Paul (Cami) Humphreys of Surprise, Ariz.
She has six grandchildren: David and Jon Dunn; Scarlett, Desiree, Alexis and Scott Humphreys.
A Celebration of Life service and reception will be held on her would be 77th birthday at Dream Manor Inn, Monday Oct. 14 at 4:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Gila County Food Bank.
The family thanks Faubush Family Homes staff, Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center staff and the Crossing Hospice staff for her care.
