JONES, Delores

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Wednesday, October 02, 2013 Delores Jones died Sept. 27, 2013, at her home in Prescott, Ariz. She was born March 13, 1947, in Prescott, the daughter of Florence (Charles) and Gibson Jones. Delores was 67 years old. Delores was a proud member of the Prescott Yavapai Tribe. She was always a hard worker and had been a CNA at Meadow Park Nursing Home. She enjoyed playing softball, cooking, going to the casino and shopping. She was proudest of her family and life she had lived. Delores is survived by her daughter, Gynia Jones, and daughters-in-law Angela Blackwater of Prescott and Rhonda Maunel of Camp Verde; her brothers, Isaac and Ernie (Janet) Jones; her sisters, Lenora (Terry) Jones-Manuel and Kathy (Javy) Jones-Ramirez; grandchildren Tyler, Taylor, Charlie, Chandra and Daniel, and great granddaughter Jo-Hanna Hanson. Delores is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, especially nieces Spring Jones and Darlene James. Delores was preceded in death by her sons Charles Sr. and Keith Jones. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, at the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home 303 S. Cortez. A Celebration of Life service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, at Yavapai Prescott Tribal Gathering Center, 515 Merritt, Prescott, with burial at the Yavapai Prescott Tribal Cemetery.
