MARTINEZ, Josephine (Josie)

Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, Arizona, Saturday, October 05, 2013 Josephine Martinez was taken into the arms of our Savior on October 3, 2013. She was born in Phoenix 92 year ago on July 2, 1921. In 1944 she met and married Seledon Martinez and enjoyed a beautiful marriage until his death in 1993. In 1960 they moved the family to Flagstaff Arizona. Josie enjoyed and loved children; therefore becoming a child care provider for many children in the Flagstaff area. After many years in Flagstaff, Josie moved to the San Diego area of California to be closer to her family where she enjoyed Sunday Mass at St. James and champagne brunches. She had many friends and outlived most. She is survived by her three sons, Albert, Andres, and Arthur, her seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She will be missed, but never forgotten. God’s Perpetual Light is on her. Services for Josie will be at 1:00pm on Saturday October 5, 2013 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel 224 S Kendrick St, Flagstaff, AZ 86001. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Lozano’s Flagstaff Mortuary.
