SOTO, Veneranda (Bennie)

Lozano's Flagstaff Mortuary and Crematory, Flagstaff, Arizona Veneranda “Bennie” Soto, 90, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2013 in Flagstaff, AZ. She was born October 27, 1922 in Winslow, AZ to Martine and Vicenta (Serna) Gurule. Her loves were her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. She was a foster grandparent for 8 years through the Senior Volunteer Programs at Northern Arizona University. Bennie is survived by her children Juanita (Filomeno) Ulibarri, Ray (Roseann) Soto, Sue Casaus, Mike (Gina) Soto and Josie Vaughan, 14 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her longtime companion John Chacon, her parents, sisters Isidora, Santana, Beatrice and Lilly and 3 grandchildren. Services will be held Friday, October 4, 2013 Rosary starting at 10:00 followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 both at San Francisco de Asis Catholic Church, 1600 East Route 66, burial immediately following at Calvary Cemetery.
