The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Wednesday, October 09, 2013 Frances Margaret Vanesian, 88, of Prescott, Ariz., passed away peacefully on Monday, Oct. 7, 2013, in Prescott, Ariz. She was born Jan. 4, 1924, in Louisville, Ky. to Ernest and Iva Walker. Frances married Jack Vanesian on May 29, 1945. Together they raised their three children, Steven, Randel and Jeannine, in west Los Angeles, until they moved to Prescott in 1971. Frances served as president on the Westwood Elementary School Board PTA and was an active member of the Miller Valley Baptist Church and Living Faith Church. Frances enjoyed cooking for friends and family. She always liked reminiscing about her younger days growing up on a farm. Her most proud accomplishment in life was raising her children. Frances is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Jack Vanesian, and daughter Jeannine Schnitzius. Frances is survived by her sons Steven (Pamela) Vanesian and Pastor Randel (Donna) Vanesian; nine grandchildren, Scott, Kerry, Jennifer, Melinda, Steven, Dawn, Danielle, Stephanie and Ashley; 21 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, along with many dear friends. A Celebration of Life for Frances will be 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, at Living Faith Church, 7225 N. Coyote Springs Road in Prescott Valley with Pastor Randy Vanesian officiating with a lunch reception to follow. A family viewing will take place at 10:30 a.m. prior to the memorial service. Interment will take place at Mountain View Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Living Faith Church's Samaritan Fund at the address above.
