Weekly Journal-Miner, Prescott, Arizona Territory Wednesday, October 7, 1891, page 3 Miss Ella Rutledge, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Rutledge, died on Tuesday, September 20, of Mountain fever, after a very brief illness. The funeral took place from the family residence south of town this afternoon and was attended by a large number of sympathizing friends of the family. Deceased was a very intelligent and exemplary young lady and her death, which occurred just in the rosy morn of womanhood, with all its bright prospects of happiness before her, is particularity sad. The sympathy of the community is extended to the be read and sorrowing relatives. ----------------------------- Members of the family of I. A. Rutledge, who have been quite sick, are reported to be improving. This family has had quite a serious affliction of late, the oldest daughter having died and several others of the family including Mr. Rutledge have been quite sick. ----------------------------- Note: No headstone has been found markeing her place of burial. She is possibly buried in Section A-10 as her father is in plot # A-10-23 and they died a few days apart. Obituary provided by D. Sue Kissell.
