DEAD MINER BURIED - the funeral of the late John Vaglio, who was killed in an accident at the Poland mine on Friday afternoon, took place last evening at 6 o’clock from the undertaking parlors of H. M. Maus & Co. on Montezuma street, under the auspices of the Woodmen of the World. Funeral services were held in the Catholic church.
The funeral procession was a large one, showing the high esteem in which the deceased was held, by his acquaintances here and in Poland.

Miner Instantly Killed By Falling Into A Chute
Yesterday afternoon at a late hour, John Volio, a miner employed in the Poland mine, accidentally fell into a chute and was instantly killed.
The deceased was a native of Italy, and aged about 47 years. He had been a resident of Poland for the past four years coming there from Congress, where he is said to be the owner of some property.
He leaves surviving him to mourn his untimely end a wife and five children.
His remains will be interred in the Citizens cemetery here this afternoon.
