Death of D. J. Monroe - David Monroe, aged 76 years and formerly a resident of this valley, died at his residence in East Prescott July 5, 1901. He was from the Agua Fria valley, has resided in Arizona for over twenty years, and leaves a widow and two sons. He was a good and highly respected man.

David J. Monroe, who moved to Prescott about three years ago from the Ash Creek country, and built a residence in Northeast Prescott, died yesterday, July 5 at the age of 76 years.
He had resided in this country for over 25 years, having been formally engaged in the stock business, but from which he retired when he moved to Prescott. He was a very highly respected citizen.
A wife and two sons survived him.
Funeral services conducted by H. B. Long will be held at his late residence this evening at 7 o'clock, to which all friends and acquaintances are invited.
