Born Aug. 9, 1950, in Yuma, he was a supervisor for John Deer tractor sales. A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Johnson Mortuary Chapel. __________________________________ Yuma Sun, Yuma, Arizona - Published in The Yuma Sun on Oct. 10, 2013 - Bobby Franks, 63, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2013 at Yuma Regional Medical Center in Yuma, AZ. Bobby was born August 9, 1950 in Yuma, AZ. Bobby worked for the local John Deere dealer for almost 40 years, beginning at Braden Machinery in 1971 and retiring from RDO Equipment in 2010. Bobby graduated from Kofa High School in 1969. He loved camping, hunting, fishing and also participated in local dart and pool leagues. Bobby is survived by his sons, Wesley Franks of Avondale, AZ and Michael Franks of Phoenix; step-father, Robert Meeks; sisters, Sharon Hutcheson and Carol (Harold) Kirchner; sister-in-law, Lina Franks; brother, Lloyd (Linda) Meeks and numerous nieces, nephews. Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Elby Franks; mother, Ida Mae Meeks; and brother Summer Franks. Services will be held at Johnson Mortuary on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 11:00AM. His wishes were to have his ashes spread at a private location by his family.
