Theresa Ann Hall Laux of Prescott, Ariz., passed away, Oct. 15, 2013, at the Arizona Pioneers' Home. This is where she called home since 2002. Theresa was born Jan. 1, 1936, in Yuma, Ariz., to Howard C. and Santina (Martinelli) Mathews.
After her father Howard died, her mother Santina married Thomas H. Patterson, who would be the man she called daddy and the beloved grandfather to her children.
Theresa was raised on her grandparents' Martinelli Dairy in Prescott. She graduated from Prescott High School in 1954, and married Jack H. Hall in the same year. They moved to Flagstaff where they started their family. She later married Daniel C. Laux, and moved to Idaho for many years before returning to Prescott. She was employed for many years both in Arizona and Idaho with Safeway. She loved to paint, garden, and was good at any type of crafting that she could get her hands on.
Survivors include her children, Steven Staples of Baton Rouge, La., Sandra (Kip) Cook of Priest River, Idaho, Shary (Bill) Feldmeir of Prescott, Ariz., Tammy (Wilson) Frank of Prescott, Ariz. and Lori Hall of Prescott, Ariz.; stepchildren, Daniel (Christy) Laux of Phoenix, Ariz., Lori Gibbons of Queen Creek, Ariz., and Katie Gray of Chandler, Ariz. She also leaves behind a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Theresa was preceded in death by her father, Howard, her parents Tom and Santina Patterson; her husband, Daniel C. Laux; son Thomas H. Hall; and stepson, Charles H. Laux.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 18, 2013, in the lobby of the Arizona Pioneers' Home, with a private graveside service for the family to follow.
