Warren Hoagland passed away quietly after a long battle with COPD.
Warren was a World War II veteran who was proud to serve his country during wartime. Warren was originally from Wilmington, Delaware, but moved to the Phoenix, AZ area in 1961. He and his wife Jean relocated to Chino Valley, AZ seven years ago to be near their two daughters.
Warren was a Public Accountant, who worked in the automobile industry for decades in Wilmington, Delaware. He was instumental in establishing the family-owned business, Arizona Horse Connection Magazine, and he handled all accounting aspects of the company until very recently. He always said he finally would retire when he reached 90, and he was true to his word.
Warren met the love of his life, Jean, while stationed in Oregon.
Warren is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jean M. Hoagland, his daughters Trudy M. Zeiler and Patti E. Trueba, and his grandson, Jason Butler. Warren will be remembered by his family and friends as always having a smile on his face and ready to "talk sports." He was a kind and generous man and will be forever missed by his family.
Family requests no flowers. No funeral service is planned. A private memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
