Private graveside services will be Oct. 23, 2013. Memorial services will be at a later date. Arrangements by Hampton Funeral Home. ~~~~~~~~ The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Tuesday, November 12, 2013 Brenda Jo Dabbs, 69,of Prescott, Ariz., passed away Oct. 19, 2013. She was born in Lubbock, Texas and graduated from Texas Tech University. She taught school in Dallas and then moved to Los Angeles where she was a demonstration teacher at the UCLA lab school. In 1984, she married David Hartke and together they resided in Los Angeles, Durango and finally in Prescott. She enjoyed helping others while volunteering with many organizations. A private burial service took place at Heritage Memorial Park in Dewey-Humboldt. A memorial celebration will be at 2 p.m. Nov. 16, 2013, at the Hassayampa Inn in Prescott. She is survived by her husband, David; and her brothers Travis, Gerald and David. We will all miss her cheerful manner and zest for life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Yavapai Humane Society. Information provided by survivors.
