He was born October 2, 1924 in Puntenney, Arizona; the son of Encarnacion and Juana (Rodriguez) Frias. Angel was 89 years old. Visitation is from 9:30-10:30 a.m., Rosary at 10:30 a.m., and Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 30th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Prescott. Committal service is at 2:00 p.m Thursday, October 31st, at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix, Arizona. ~~~~~~~~ The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Wednesday, October 30, 2013 Angel Frias, 89, of Paulden, Ariz., passed away at the VA Hospice in Prescott, Ariz., on Oct. 24, 2013, with family at his side. Angel was born Oct. 2, 1924, in Puntenney, Ariz., to Encarnacion and Juana Frias. He was raised in Puntenney, Drake and Perkinsville. He lived in Jerome, Prescott and Paulden. Angel was very proud to have served in the army during World War II. He worked as a miner in Jerome and at the Iron King Mine in Humboldt, Ariz. He owned and operated Angel's Tortilla Factory on McCormick Street. He had customers who bought his tortillas and took them home as far as Alaska and the east coast. He is survived by his wife, Maria Dolores Frias; daughters Marcella Apolinar (Ernie), Vera Mancha of Prescott, and Tammy Romero (Harry) of Glendale Ariz.; sons Angel Browning (Denise) of Goodyear, Ariz., Hector Frias (Yvonne) of Avondale, Ariz., Angel Frias of Phoenix, Ariz., and Gerald Mendibles of Prescott, Ariz.; brothers Guadalupe Frias (Bertha) and Jesus Frias; sisters Connie Reyes (Eddie) and Lucy Hernandez (Larry), all of Prescott; and sister Petra Padilla of San Pedro, Calif. Angel has 14 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren. Visitation is from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. with rosary at 10:30 a.m. followed by mass at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Prescott.
