Shirley A. Crawford, age 78, died in Columbus, Ohio on December 5, 2010.
She was born in Yuma, Arizona on January 16, 1932 to Leo and Sue Brancfield.
Shirley attended Yuma High School where she was an avid tennis star and met her life-time sweetheart, Norris "Corky" Crawford. They married in 1950 and in 1961 moved to Beacon, NY.
Shirley enjoyed music, family trips and CNN. Shirley was preceded in death by her loving husband; parents; sister, Suzanne Coffeen; and niece, LaVena Davidson. Shirley is survived by her brother, Leo "Bud" Brancfield Jr.; daughter, Sherry Haberkern; son, Steven (Danielle) Crawford; granddaughters, Kerry Haberkern, Jill Haberkern, Christina Crawford, Stephanie Crawford, Jacqueline Crawford; several nieces and nephews; and beloved friends, Josephine Scadura, Karen and Jim Easton and family of Indianapolis, and Christopher Sjoholm and family of Beacon, NY.
Family will be having a ceremony of happy remembrances at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her memory to the charity of the donor's choice.
