Ioday's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Wednesday, October 30, 2013 >>> March 12, 1930 — Oct. 23, 2013 <<< George James Hickey, of Lake Havasu City, 83, passed Oct. 23, in Las Vegas, Nev. He was born in Jamaica Plain, Mass., to Margaret E. Hickey of Boston, Mass., and Nelson Hickey, of Nova Scotia, (both deceased). His surviving family includes his wife, Lois A. Hickey, of Lake Havasu City; daughter, Paula Klein, of Attleboro, Mass.; son, George Hickey, of Lake Havasu City; two grandchildren, Jennifer Ptaszek, of Woonsocket, R.I., and Brian Land, of Attleboro, Mass.; and one great-grandchild, Sophia Ptaszek. George served in the Army in 1947 as a Military Police Officer. He worked as a service manager for the Cadillac Automotive Industry for 30 years. He also worked in the Security Division of Texas Instruments for several years before moving to Lake Havasu City 31 years ago.
