FAULK, Tamie Jo

(Maiden Name: Mathews)

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Tuesday, October 29, 2013 Tamie Jo (Mathews) Faulk was born in Bakersfield, Calif. to Robert and Leeta Mathews on July 18, 1959. She passed into heaven after a hard fought battle with breast cancer on Oct. 6, 2013 at her home in Prescott Valley with family and friends at her side. She is survived by her husband of 36 years Bill Faulk; three children, Jason, Jared and Stephanie Faulk; four grandchildren, Kevin 16, Austin 13, Cadence 5 and Cory 4. She is also survived by two brothers, Robert and Gary; and a sister Vickie. My sister Tamie was a lover of Victorian history and novels, the ocean and holidays spent with her children. She asked to have her ashes spread on the Pacific Ocean on July 4 ... Smiles ... We knew she would want fireworks ... nothing less would do. So I dedicate this poem by Lewis Carroll, Victorian poet, to my sister in loving memory until I see her again. A boat, Beneath a Sunny Sky By Lewis Carroll A boat, beneath a sunny sky Lingering onward dreamily In an evening of July- Children three that nestle near, Eager eye and willing ear, Pleased a simple tale to hear- Long has paled that sunny sky: Echoes fade and memories die: Autumn frosts have slain July. Still she haunts me, phantomwise, Tamie moving under skies Never seen by waking eyes. Children yet, the tale to hear, Eager eye and willing ear, Lovingly shall nestle near. In a Wonderland they lie, Dreaming as the days go by, Dreaming as the summers die: Ever drifting down the stream- Lingering in the golden gleam- Life, what is it but a dream?
