BEARD, Mary M.

Miles Mortuary, Miami, Arizona Mary M. Beard, 88, of Globe, AZ, passed away October 23, 2013, in Globe. She was born July 3, 1925, in Lewisville, Arkansas, to her parents George W. and Lucy Edna (Brantley) King. Mary lived in Arizona for 61 years and loved to fish and camp. She was an accomplished seamstress and created works of art with a crochet needle and thread. She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Miami. Survivors include her children, William Joe (Bonnie) Beard, of Young, AZ, Mary Ann (Paul) LeCompte, of Oracle, AZ, Jean (Loney) Gourdin, of Globe, and Wanda (Jim) Boutwell, of Claypool, AZ; her siblings, Louise McKay, in South Carolina, and Faye Harvey, James Hardin and Charles Hardin, all in Texas; 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Billy, a son, David Edward, a daughter, Judy Wolfe, a grandson, Eric Gourdin, her parents, 3 brothers and 1 sister.
