VENTURA, Karen

(Maiden Name: Martinez)

Karen Ventura was born in Holbrook, Arizona on September 21, 1951 to Fred G. Martinez and Alicia Martinez. 

She is preceded in death by her son Matthew W. Ventura, her parents, sister Rita Anaya, and brother Sam Martinez. She is survived by her son Brian Ray (Stephanie) and daughter Lynette Beltran (Tony) and by two sisters Vivian Dominguez and Diana Baca, two brothers Gavin Martinez and Fred Martinez also by her former husband, Eddie Ventura, and her beloved friend Joe Martinez. She had nine grandchildren, who were the love and joy of her life. 

She was employed by APS for 25 years. We were all touched by her love and compassion for everyone that surrounded her. She will be missed immensely by all her friends and family. 

Visitation with a Rosary was Friday, June 30, 2006 at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix. A Funeral Mass was held Saturday, July 1, 2006 at St. Mary's Basilica, 231 N. 3rd St., Phoenix. Interment followed at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery.
