George O. Matkin, 93, of Mesa died Oct. 21, 2013, at his home. He was born Nov. 9, 1919, in Swan Lake, Idaho, to George Quayle and Julia Constance (Allen) Matkin.

George is survived by his five children, five stepchildren, 45 grandchildren and 75 great-grandchildren.  

A visitation was held Oct. 26 at Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park and Funeral Care, 400 S. Power Road in Mesa. Services for George were held Oct. 29 at The Downey Chapel. 

Interment was at The Cambridge Cemetery in Downey, Idaho. Mariposa Gardens handled arrangements. Call (480) 830-4422.
