Prescott lost a true original when Dan Frank died on Oct. 26, 2013. He was born in Toledo, Ohio, on July 29, 1928, and moved to Arizona as a child, graduating from Phoenix Union High School in 1947.
After a distinguished career in law enforcement with the Phoenix Police Department, he retired and moved to Prescott in 1977. He became a vital force in the Prescott Antique Auto Club where he was celebrated for his distinctive illustrations and years of quality leadership.
He loved animals, cars, his country and life in general. A proud veteran, he served with distinction in both the Marines and the Army. He never tired of reliving World War II.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years, Jeanne.
He is survived by his sister Doloris Smith of Litchfield, and sons Dann Jr., Glenn ("Doc" the pinstriper) and Bill.
Plans are pending for a memorial service to take place in conjunction with the Prescott Antique Auto Club.
