Bruce H. Grove passed to the other side on Tuesday, Oct 8, 2013, at the VA hospital in Prescott. He was born to Willis and Irene Grove in Eugene, Ore., on Nov. 9, 1948. Bruce worked as a core driller, handyman, home inspector and finish carpenter extraordinaire.
He is survived by his brother, David; sister, Shirley Foster; two nieces and a nephew; and his mother, whom he cared for until it was too much for him, as his health was declining. We wish that he could have gotten the two years he wanted, but as he said, "I lived my life my way."
He had many special friends and he would do anything that he could for them - Jackie and her sons Brandon and Cody, whom he took a special interest in, and whom he called "his boys." He loved watching them grow into special young men.
Patty helped him take care of his medical problems when it became too much for him.
His friend Peter from Bisbee was like a brother to him from the day they met 40 years ago.
He loved reading and being outside with nature. We wish it would have been longer and he will be missed, but he will never be forgotten as he touched so many and taught us all something.
There will be a get- together starting at 11 a.m. Nov. 9 at 4455 Stardust Road in Kingman. There will be food and beverages for those who want to come.
Love and miss you, brother.
