CARGILL, JR., E.W. (Slim)


The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, Arizona Sunday, November 03, 2013 E.W. Cargill, Jr. (Slim), 93, of Cottonwood, Arizona, went to be with our Lord on October 15, 2013. He was born in Porum, Oklahoma. He is survived by his daughters, Rebecca Hickman and Cynthia Williams, three granddaughters, and four great grandchildren. An avid outdoorsman, Mr. Cargill loved camping, hunting and fishing. He was a lineman who worked on power lines throughout Arizona and the West. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for more than 69 years and a charter member of IBEW Local 769. A gathering celebrating his life will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2013 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Dead Horse Ranch State Park, Los Alamos Ramada 5, in Cottonwood, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Hospice of the Pines, Prescott, Arizona, or to Hospice of Arizona, Phoenix, Arizona. Information provided by family.
