MARCUS, Harry

Harry Marcus, age 95, passed away August 16, 2003 in Phoenix. He was born February 24, 1908 in Jasi, Romania. He came to the Valley in 1956 from Indiana. Harry was the owner and operated of the Shalimar Apartments in Phoenix and was a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge and Shriners. He is survived by his son Mel Marcus of Scottsdale, daughters, Sharon Cole of Phoenix, and Elaine Marcus of Los Angeles, brothers Al Marcus of Phoenix, Jack Marcus of El Paso, five grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services were held in Mt. Sinai Memorial Park in Los Angeles. Contributions in his memory are requested to City of Hope, 7900 E. Greenway Road, Suite 207, Scottsdale, AZ 85260.
