Patricia A. McElroy (70) of Carefree, Arizona died of cancer August 15, 2003 in her home.
She was born January 6, 1933 in Detroit, Michigan and graduated from the Shrine of the Little Flower in Berkley, Michigan.
She was a career wife and mother known for her flair for interior decorating and design. Patricia moved to Arizona in 1996 and was a volunteer at Desert Foothills Library, Our Lady of Joy Church Library and active on the Church Decorating Committee.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Lucian G. McElroy, daughters Kim McElroy-Pawel of New River, Arizona and Karyn A. Hopp of Milford, Michigan, son Christopher P. McElroy of Glendale, Arizona and brothers Arthur J. Rousseau of Jeffersonville, Indiana and Robert Rousseau of Laguna Nigel, California. She was preceded in death by her parents Ann and Arthur Rousseau and son Timothy P. McElroy.
Visitation at Messinger Pinnacle Peak Mortuary, 8555 E. Pinnacle Peak Road, Scottsdale, Arizona 85255. Funeral Mass Thursday, August 21, 2003 at Our Lady of Joy Catholic Church, corner of Cave Creek and Pima Roads, Carefree, Arizona with interment at Holy Cross Redeemer Cemetery, 23015 Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Timothy McElroy Foundation, 7400 N. Glen Harbor Blvd., Glendale, AZ 85307.
