NEWMAN, Penelope Ann

Penelope Ann Newman was born February 21, 1957, in Hobbs, New Mexico to Sie Linthicum Jr. and Roxie Ella Spencer Linthicum. Penni graduated from Hobbs High School and later received a Cosmetology Certificate. She married Vernon Newman, October 5, 1987 and they resided in Phoenix. Penni was preceded in death by her father Sie Linthicum Jr.; sister Cyella Linthicum; Grandparents, Charlie F. Spencer, Beulah Spencer Mass, Lovie Carter; niece, Traci Lynette Jones and her beloved pet, Rocky Elvis. Penni leaves to cherish her memory forever, her husband, Vernon Eugene Newman, Phoenix, AZ; her mother, Roxie E. Linthicum, Hobbs, NM; 2 sisters, Brenda (BJ) Dunlap, Midland, TX and Patricia (Fifie) Jones, Hobbs, NM; 1 brother Finise O'Neal Linthicum, Durham, NC; 2 half-sisters Yvonne Anderson, Tulsa, OK and Billie Thompson, Tyler, TX; a special nephew, Douglas Bridges, St. Louis, MO and a very special niece LaToya Jones, Hobbs, NM; father and mother in-law, Rev. Louis and Minnola Warnell; aunts and uncles, Lucy and Vernon Johnson, Corpus Christi, TX and Finise and Cara Linthicum, San Antonio, TX; special friends, Keith & Ethyl Taylor, James Geiger all of Phoenix and Paul and Phyllis Jack, Nashville, TN; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation and services were at Resthaven Park Mortuary at 4310 E. Southern Ave. The Arizona Republic 8/14/2003 - 8/15/2003.
