FALLON, William J.

William J. Fallon, 79, of Mesa, passed away August 28, 2006, with his loving family surrounding him at home. Bill was born in Pittsburg, PA, on May 7, 1927. He attended Holy Innocents Elementary School and North Catholic High School. After graduation he joined the Army but served only a brief time as World War II was nearly at an end. In 1946 he came to Phoenix and attended Arizona State University, where he met the love of his life, June. They were married Jan. 28, 1950. They enjoyed 56 years of marriage, blessed with 10 children, 15 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. Bill was involved in parish and school activities for many years. He was in education and city recreation in Glendora, CA for 3 years. In 1955 he went to work as a Contract Administrator for Goodyear Aircraft and, staying in that field, worked for General Electric and finally McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Co. He retired in 1994. A Vigil was held at St Bridget Catholic Church. Mass was celebrated also at St. Bridget's, 2213 N. Lindsay Rd, Mesa 85213. Arrangements entrusted to Melcher Mortuary Chapel of the Roses.
