MISKIMEN, Daniel B. (Dan)


Daniel B. Miskimen, 78, of Upper Arlington, Ohio, formerly of New Philadelphia, OH and Phoenix, Arizona died on Friday, August 25, 2006 at First Community Village in Columbus, OH. He was born in Rochester, PA to James and Miriam (Yost) Miskimen. Dan joined the Air Force in 1946 as a member of the Hurricane Hunters and served as a Weather Observer for 3 years. He worked as a Land Surveyor for many years in Ohio and Arizona. He was preceded in death by his sisters and brothers: Lucy Loader, Robert Miskimen, Charlotte Ball, Richard Miskimen, James Miskimen, Catherine Rudd, Jane Colton and Mary Ann Walsh. Dan is survived by his wife, Ruth (Goodie) Miskimen and daughter, Deborah Sue Miskimen; 4 brothers: David Y., Paul, John and Hugh; 3 sisters: Betty Sell, Margaret Neff, and Harriet Everhart. At Dan's request, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Alzheimer's Association of Central Ohio, 3380 Tremont Road, Columbus, OH 43221.
