Trinidad “Trinie” Ruiz, age 92, of Globe, Ariz. passed away on Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013 at Heritage Health Care Center in Globe, Ariz.
She was born in Globe, Ariz. on Oct. 14, 1921, the daughter of Wenceslado and Francisca (Jimenez) Rubalcaba.
She worked as a nurse’s assistant for Miami Inspiration Hospital.
As a devout Catholic she volunteered her time for the lunch program at Holy Angels School and supporting fundraisers.
Trinie was well known by family and friends for her tamales around Thanksgiving dinners and Christmas. She touched the lives of many and her memory will live on in our hearts forever.
Trinidad was preceded in death by her husband, Eusebio “Sam” Ruiz, in August of 2003.
Trinie is survived by her daughter, Angela “Angie” Meeks of Globe; her sisters, Fidencia Amezquita of Oakland, Calif. and Refugia Maria “Cuca” O’Brien of Phoenix, Ariz.; and two grandchildren.
Rosary was held on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Globe, Ariz.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2 p.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church.
Interment will be at Mountain Breeze Memorial Gardens in Miami, Ariz.
