MACCHIAROLI, Ruth Katherine

Ruth Katherine Macchiaroli, 90 of Mesa passed away September 20, 2006. Ruth was born in Chicago on September 4, 1916. She was preceded in death by her husband Henry and her son Lee Macchiaroli. Ruth is survived by her grandson Eric and daughter-in-law Laurie Macchiaroli of New Richmond, Wisconsin; brother Leonard (Snookie) Weidner and goddaughter Judy LaBrec of Palos Heights, Illinois; sister Lorraine Biederman of Chicago; nieces Connie Crosser of Chandler, Janice Eckenrode of Gilbert and Jeri Wam of Poway, California; nephew Jamie Macchiaroli of San Diego and sister-in-law Mary Macchiaroli of Gilbert. She attended Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Mesa for many years and was an avid bowler. Ruth loved to play cards and bingo. She was known for her kindness to children and the elderly. Ruth always put her family first. She was a wonderful cook, enjoyed sharing her recipes and loved telling stories. Visitation and Rosary were at Bunker's Garden Chapel, 33 N. Centennial Way, Mesa, AZ. Services were held on Friday, September 29, 2006 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 141 N. Macdonald, Mesa, AZ. Published in The Arizona Republic on 9/27/2006.
