WOODS, John Thomas

John Thomas (JT) Woods, 81, passed away November 14, 2013 in Eupora, MS. He was born September 13, 1932. He and his wife, Gwen, moved several times during their life together, but generally stayed in Mississippi from Senatobia to Eupora. He was a large, loud man that was hard to overlook and even more difficult to forget once you met him. He was always smiling and laughing as if he alone new the best joke and if you were lucky and behaved, he might let you hear it. When thinking of he and his brother, Liberty overalls and white t-shirts come to mind, a fad the passed down to their children and grandchildren. He was an easy man to love and admire and will be greatly missed. He has survived with the care and love of his daughters Patricia Fay Reins (Eupora, MS) and Martha Jo Stevens. He leaves 9 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren behind, throughout the south and mostly residing in Mississippi. He follows his loving wife Gwen L. and their young son, John Thomas Woods Jr., along with his parents, John Ray & Maude Sanders, brother and sister-in-law, Elzie Ray & Margie Helen Baker Woods of Pope, MS, nephew John Casper (JC) Woods, and his brother Charles Walter (CW) Woods of Arkansas in death. He leaves behind one sister and brother-in-law, Marylou & Paul Watson. 2 half-sisters, Merle Kay Lyles & Pearl Fay Hardwood, 3 half-brothers, Ray Randall Woods, John Thomas Woods, & Ricky Dale Woods. Two nieces, both of Pope, MS, Annette Sue Woods & Mr. & Mrs. Mike & Anita Lou Woods Logue, and nephew Percy Ray Woods. 4 great nieces, Anna Logue Stephens (Phoenix, AZ), Heather Horton Brewer (Enid, MS), Maggie Renee Woods Tanner (Kosiesko, MS), Jennifer Woods Feinblatt (Chicago), 2 great nephews, John Alexander Casper Woods (Kosiesko, MS), Christopher Ray Woods (Chicago, IL) and a great great nephew, James Michael Brewer (Enid, MS)
