Valerie C. Upshir, 37, of Peoria, AZ passed away on October 29, 2006. 

A lifelong resident of AZ, she was a graduate of Moon Valley High School and Glendale Community College where she received her degree in Nursing. Her loves were taking care of her family, cooking, travel, music, and scrap booking. 

She is survived by her Husband Doug, Son Kevin Douglas, Daughter Madeleine Rose and Daughter Keira Elisabeth. She is also survived by her Father Jerry R. Sanchez, Mother & Step-father Kathie & Howard Sobelman, Grandmother Bertha Gallegos, In-laws Garry & Monica Henderson, and large extended family and many close friends. Valerie is preceded in death by her Brother Sean Sanchez, Aunt Allene Wright, Cousin Dennis Rodriguez, Aunt Carmen Gallegos and Aunt Rose Marie Martinez. 

Visitation and a scripture service were at St. Jeromes Catholic Church, 10815 N 35th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85029. Memorial Mass was held on Tuesday, November 7, 2006 at St. Jeromes Catholic Church. Memorial contributions may be made for a scholarship fund for the kids or to Phoenix Childrens Hospital.
