Vistoso Funeral Home, Oro Valley, Arizona Aristeo "Shorty" Gamboa September 8, 1927 - October 3, 2013 Aristeo “Shorty” Gamboa, 86, was reunited with our Mom on October 3, 2013. He was preceded in death by his love of 58 years, Amanda Gamboa, son-in-law Robert Sanchez, mother Soledad Gamboa, brother Jesus Gamboa and mother-in-law Ricarda Garcia. He is survived by his seven daughters: Dianne Sanchez; Sylvia (Nick) Gonzales; Dora (Manuel) Chavez; Sandra Gamboa; Corinda Gamboa; Caroline (Raymond) Vargas and Belinda (Guillermo) Felix. Six grandchildren: Michelle Guerrero; Manuel Chavez; Danielle and Raymond Vargas; Benjamin and Gabrielle Felix; and four great-grandchildren: Roberto, Cassandra, Andrea and Cesar Jr. Guerrero. Also survived by his sister, Teresa Torrez Cruz. He resided in Tucson, Arizona since 2004 and was a longtime copper miner. His strong work ethic matched no other, he had a loving and generous heart, his remarkable talents outside of the mining industry were exceptional and his strength and dedication to his family was evident till the end. Our golden heart stopped beating – strong and hard-working hands can rest. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 at Vistoso Funeral Home, 2285 E. Rancho Vistoso Blvd, Oro Valley, Arizona., with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life mass will be offered Thursday, October 10, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 8650 N. Shannon Road, Tucson, Arizona. Interment to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery.
