Harold Von Killgore

Harold Von Killgore, loving husband, beloved father and grandfather, passed away on Friday, Nov. 15, 2013 at home at the age of 85.
Von was born on Feb. 16, 1928 in Gracemont, Okla. to Della and Artie Killgore.
Von served his country in two branches of the military, the Army and Air Force, where he was discharged in 1951.
He married Elnora “Tillie” Adele Vaught on May 14, 1949 in Aztec, N.M. Together they raised six children.
In 1964, Von and Tillie moved their family to Southern California. Von entered the plumbing trade at 19 and worked in it until his retirement. Von and Tillie retired in 1988 and moved to Payson, Ariz.
He had a passion for country music. He loved to record, play and dance. He loved to garden and raise chickens.
Von will be remembered by all who had the good fortune to have known him for his boundless generosity, kindness and his always great nature. We all love him and will miss him dearly.
Harold Von Killgore is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Adele Killgore; daughters, Anna Holcomb of Carson City, Nev. and Elaine Carlisle of Hot Springs S.D.; sons, Harold Killgore of Meridian, Idaho, Marvin Killgore and Paul Killgore, both of Payson, Ariz. and David Killgore of Minden, Nev.
He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20 at First Southern Baptist Church, 302 S. Ash St. Payson.
