Greer’s Mortuary of Winslow, Winslow, Arizona Gemma Olivia Ann Young January 05, 2012 - November 19, 2013 Gemma Olivia Ann Young and Abigail Young were born on January 5, 2012 in Phoenix, AZ to Greg Young, Jr. and Octavia Warren. Abigail weighed in at 4 lbs 2 oz while Gemma weighed in at 2 lbs 1 oz, both girls entered this world 2 months prematurely at 9:43 am, 10 seconds apart. Gemma being the youngest of the two, she spent the first month of her life in the hospital until she reach 4 lbs. Gemma was a girly girl, she loved to shower those she loved with kisses but she was also a fighter, battling asthma. Her favorite toy was anything that played music, she loved dancing and singing along with the music. Gemma would mock her Great grandmother Mary Hayes at church when she praised God. She would play with the dog by hitting it with the newspaper, she loved greeting her "RoRo" (Rozene) when she come home from work. Most of all she loved her twin sister, Abigail. Her favorite saying was "Oh, man!" Gemma is survived by her parents, Greg Young, Jr. and Octavia Warren; her grandparents, Susan Warren, Henry Hayes, Jr., Greg Young, Sr.; great grandmothers Young and Mary Hayes; siblings, Abigail Young, Xavier Young, Janiah Young; aunts and uncles, Renee Parker, Venita Freeman, Jennifer Hayes, Erika Martinez, Brennan Martinez, Gabby Hayes, Jalisa Hayes, Kyle Yazzie, Toya Young, Sherrie Young and LaMont Young, a host of great uncles and great aunts and cousins. Gemma was preceded in death by her grandmother, Lorraine AnnYoung; great grandparents, John Warren, Johnnie Warren, Henry Hayes, Sr.; great uncle Marcus Warren ana great aunt Sherrie Jones. Funeral services will be November 22, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Faith Temple Church of God in Christ, 4th and Pope, Pastor Roy C. Hadnot will be officiating the service. Viewing will be at 12:00 pm, an hour before services. Arrangements under the direction of Greer's Mortuary and interment will be in Scottsdale at the St. Francis Cemetery.
