BARRERAS, Joseph Nathaniel (Lil Joe)


Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, Arizona, Sunday, November 24, 2013 Joseph Nathaniel Barreras (Lil Joe) March 12, 1989 – November 17, 2013 (24 years old) Joe was born and raised in Flagstaff, Arizona. He attended South Beaver Elementary School, Flagstaff Middle School and Flagstaff high School. Joe was a valued employee at Pepsi Bottling Company. He is survived by his wife, Kristin Baca Barreras and their two daughters Anastasia and Amaya Barreras; his mother, Diana C. Barreras; his father, Raymond Archibeque; his aunts Linda (Tippy) Tapia and Debra Barreras, his brothers; Brandon (Renee) Barreras, Anthony (Jenika) Barreras, Mark (Candie) Barreras, and Simon (Griselda) Barreras, Raymond Crank and sister; Santana Crank; his grandparents, Lucy and Eddie Barreras and four nephews and four nieces that Joe loved like his own; his in-laws Dee and Raymond Baca, brothers-in-law; Raymond, Jr. (Rochelle) Baca and Toby Baca and an endless number of family and friends. Joe loved spending time with his family doing anything outdoors – hunting, fishing, camping, he loved playing baseball (he was an All Star for Coconino Little League), football, basketball and horse shoes. He was a dedicated and loving husband, father, son, brother, cousin, and best friend to many. He is preceded in death by his grandmother Margie Guerrero. The services for Joe will be held at San Francisco de Asis Catholic Church, 1600 E. Route 66, Flagstaff, AZ. The Holy Rosary will be at 7:00 pm on Sunday, November 24th and the Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 am on Monday, November 25th followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery, 201 W. University.
