BRYSON, William E. (Jake)

William E. "Jake" Bryson, 87, of Cave Creek, AZ passed away Wednesday, Dec 28, 2005. Mr. Bryson was born in 1918 and came to Arizona in 1945 from Dallas, TX. He worked for the City of Phoenix for 33 years and retired as Superintendent of Automotive Maintenance. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mary Evelyn; their two sons, Larry Bryson & wife Sheila of Scottsdale, AZ and Gerald Bryson & wife Rhonda of Cave Creek, AZ; five grandchildren, Stephanie Maynard & husband Michael of Gilbert, AZ, Jeff & Jennifer Bryson of New York City, NY, and Dallas Bryson & Tyler Bryson of Scottsdale, AZ; and two great-grandchildren Rebeka & David Maynard of Gilbert, AZ. He is also survived by her sister Helen Schiller of Dallas, TX and many nieces & nephews. Viewing was held Monday, January 2, 2006, at Messinger Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Rd., Scottsdale, AZ. Services were Tuesday at Eastside Baptist Church at 2828 E. Thomas Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85016. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Eastside Baptist Church or Mayo Clinic Cancer Research, 13400 E. Shea Blvd., Scottsdale, AZ 85259.
