Sara Anna
Sara Anna Ladwig, born in Rome, Italy, died at City of Hope Hospital on January 1, 2006.
She was a 22-year resident of Diamond Bar, CA where she was a member of St. Denis Church. Sara was a professor of Italian at Mt. San Antonio College, Walnut, CA and was active in the Foreign Language Dept.
Her husband, Lee Ladwig; son, George (Claudia); grandson, Lucas; niece, Maria Lucci and many family members in Rome, Italy survive her. Sara was predeceased by her grandmother, Duchess D'Este of Tivoli, Italy; mother, Nella Rosai of Rome, Italy and sister/brother-in-law, General Franco and Fausa Moseti of Rome, Italy.
Sara received her PhD in Ancient Languages from Rome University. She was an avid athlete, competing in skiing and swimming and was a member of the Italian Olympic swim team during the Rome Olympics. Services were held at St. Denis Church, Diamond Bar. Vigil service was Fri., Jan. 6, 2006, and the Funeral Mass was Sat. Jan. 7. Interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Rowland Heights. Queen of Heaven Mortuary 626-964-1291.
