STRAUBE, Glen W.

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, November 27, 2013 Glen W. Straube, 87, passed away in Prescott, Ariz., on Nov. 18, 2013. Glen was born in Middletown, Mo. on Sept. 21, 1926, and married Shirley Jean Hosman on April 11, 1948. He served in the Navy during World War II and, after his military service moved the family to California. He was a career auto mechanic, who owned an auto re-pair shop in Rialto, Calif., for a period of time. Glen and Shirley retired to Cottonwood, Ariz., in 1990, and moved to Prescott in 2006. Glen is preceded in death by his wife. He is survived by his children, Bill and Vicki, also of Prescott. The family would like to thank the entire staff at Mountain View Manor who took care of Glen the past two years; the Adult Day Care Center, where he attended on a regular basis for several years prior; as well as Good Samaritan Society Hospice. It truly is a "long goodbye," but we loved his dry sense of humor and independence along the journey. No services are planned at this time. Information provided by survivors.
