COX, Sandra (Sandy)

The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona Wednesday, November 27, 2013 Sandra Cox, 51, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Nov. 20. Sandy was born Oct. 11, 1962 in Sacramento, Calif., to Lynn and Doris Cox. She moved to Wickenburg with her family in 1969 when she was 7 years old. She graduated Wickenburg High School in 1980. She loved Wickenburg and being near her family and friends and couldn’t imagine being anywhere else but Wickenburg. She is survived by her son Benjamin Barnett; her mother Doris Gilbert; her sister Dianne Gray; her brother Thomas Cox; nieces Leanna (Zach) and Samantha (Josh); and great-nephew Xavier Moralez, all of Wickenburg. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended family. She was predeceased by her father Lynn Cox and step-father Frank Gilbert, and all of her grandparents. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday (Nov. 30) at David’s Desert Chapel. All arrangements have been made by David’s Desert Chapel in Wickenburg.
