Richard Smith “Ric” Hall, 52, returned home to his heavenly Father Nov. 24, 2013. He was born March 24, 1961, in McNary.
After graduating from St. Johns High School, he worked at many jobs, his favorite of which was ranching. He loved his horses and was considered a good hand by all he worked with. Ric had many friends and loved people almost as much as his horses.
His favorite cowboy partner was his grandson Draet’n. He loved reading good books, was a great conversationalist, and always enjoyed a good movie. He was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Gibbons Hall, and sibling Janis Hall Golding (Randy).
He is survived by his father, Theron M. Hall; siblings: Laura Lu Stradling (Larry), Theron M. “Tim” Hall Jr. (Lou Dawn), Lynette Hall Beck (John), Margo Hall Roberts (Russ), Helen Chee Scarbrough, Joshua Mark Hall (Karen); children: Richard Smith “Rush” Hall Jr., Bryce Lenay Hall; and grandson Draet’n Howey.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 2, at the Downtown Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in St. Johns with a visitation one hour prior to the service. A viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1, at Burnham Mortuary in St. Johns.
Interment will be at the St. Johns Cemetery.
