Caroline Trammell, 89, of Springerville died Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013.
She was born Feb. 5, 1924, in Eagar. Her life consisted of many facets; she attended nursing school, was a florist, a beautician, co-managed a restaurant and lived the farmer/rancher life. Caroline was also a Springerville hospital auxiliary volunteer.
Caroline married Achiel John Walbroeck and they were parents to two daughters, Ginger and Janice. Achiel passed away in 1957 at the age of 43 and at that time, Caroline continued operating the Springerville Flower Shop. She later married Robert (Luther Connor) Trammell of Springerville, a longtime area farmer/rancher, and they were parents to a daughter, Savilla Grace.
Caroline is survived by her daughters, Ginger E. Brown of Green Valley and Savilla Grace Sherrill of Springerville; sons-in-law: J.R. Given of Safford, Lanny Sherrill of Springerville and Robert G. Brown of Green Valley; grandchildren: Amy E. Shultz of Sahuarita, Casandra Albert of Glendale and Bobby and Aaron Sherrill, both of Springerville; great-grandchildren: Maddie and Lucy Albert of Glendale, Melissa of Kentucky, Mary of Tucson and Michael of Sahuarita; and great-great-grandchildren Peyton and Zoe.
She was predeceased by her husband, Achiel John Waelbroeck, father Herbert Day, mother Grace Day, husband Robert (Luther Connor) Trammell, granddaughter Melissa Given, daughter Janice Marie Given, and sisters Lillietta Day and Lorene Thompson.
A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29, at Burnham Mortuary in Eagar. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, at the Community Presbyterian Church, Springerville.
Interment will follow the service at the Springerville Cemetery.
