Meldrum Mortuary & Crematory, Mesa, Arizona Ella May Lenz August 18, 1930 ~ November 24, 2013 Ella May Lenz, 82, passed away on Sunday, November 24th in Tucson Arizona peacefully, and surrounded by loved ones. Ella May Riggs was born August 18, 1931 in Big Stone Gap, Virginia and moved to Arizona in the early 1930's with her mother and brother. Ella worked for the Department of Economic Security in Navajo County until her retirement. Ella worked as a substitute teacher in her retirement years. Survivors include Jerry King, two sons Darwin Lenz, Dorian Lenz (Kathleen), and two daughters Tamilleen Becken and Twilla Brewer, as well as 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Ella is known and loved by many for her great card parties, her service to family and friends, her large infectious laugh and her beautiful zest for life. A viewing for family, and close friends will be held on Saturday November 30, 2013 at 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at the LDS chapel on 920 S Lindsay Rd Mesa, AZ 85204. Followed by services at 12:00 pm. Meldrum Mortuary is handling the arrangement.
